Please join us for the first-ever Armed Forces Mass celebrated by Bishop Kagan at 8 a.m. at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit. Military Appreciation Masses are celebrations of the service and sacrifice of military personnel. These masses are often held to honor veterans, active service members and their families. They serve as a way for the Church to show its support and appreciation for those who serve in the armed forces. All are encouraged to attend!

Author and speaker Sal DiLeo will speak at Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck on Thursday, May 22 at 6:30 PM as part of his “Power of Gratitude” North Dakota speaking tour. He will share his story of being the second youngest in a family of 12 children growing up in an orphanage after their father abandoned them. As an adult, Sal aggressively sought success in business to validate his self-worth, but after chasing money and turning from God, everything fell apart. On a night he contemplated suicide, Sal called Sister Paul who had cared for him in the orphanage. She helped him to get back on the right path and to see that gratitude and forgiveness was the real way to success and freedom. The mission of his tour is to promote religious vocations for women as Catholic sisters or nuns. Diocesan seminarian Colton Steiner will be ordained to the transitional diaconate on May 27 at 2 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit in Bismarck. The Mass will be livestreamed.

The 11th Annual Seminarian Scholarship Golf Tournament hosted by the Catholic Foundation of Western North Dakota is Monday, June 16 at the Prairie West Golf Course in Mandan. Check in and lunch begins at noon with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Lunch and dinner are provided. Cost is $520 per team or $130 per person. Register online at cfwnd.org/golf by June 13. The Benedictine Sister of Annunciation Monastery invite you to the celebration of the perpetual monastic profession of Sister Marena Hoogland on Friday, July 11 at 1:30 p.m. The celebration of Eucharistic liturgy will take place at Our Lady of the Annunciation Chapel at the Benedictine Center for Servant Leadership on the campus of the University of Mary. A reception will follow at the monastery.

You are invited to the annual Town and Country Celebration on Sunday, July 13. The event will be held at the Dukart Angus Ranch near Manning, N.D. The day will begin with a blessing of land, animals and equipment at 10 a.m. mountain time (11 a.m. central) followed with Mass celebrated by Bishop Kagan. Lunch will follow Mass. The event is hosted by Derrick and Angie Dukart, Doug and Sandy Dukart, with Fr. Joseph Evinger and the parishioners of the churches of St. Joseph in Killdeer, St. Paul in Halliday and St. Joseph in Twin Buttes. The St. Mary Sisters, consecrated religious sisters based in Bismarck, are hosting a groundbreaking ceremony for their new convent with an outdoor Mass and property blessing on Saturday, July 19 beginning at 1 p.m. The events will be held at the future construction site at the corner of Rosser and Raymond Streets. Lunch will be served following.

On Tuesday, July 22 at 10 a.m. at the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit, the public is welcome to witness the profession of vows of two members of the St. Mary Sisters. Sister Mary Elizabeth and Sister Maria Bernadette have been studying for three years in preparation for membership into the community of the St. Mary Sisters. Lunch will be served after.

Join us for an adults only, fun-filled date night to learn and grow together in your faith. Plan for Friday, July 25 (the 57th anniversary of the Humanae Vitae encyclical). The night begins with Mass at the Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary in Bismarck at 5:30 p.m. followed by a social and dinner at the Radisson. During dinner, speakers, Matt and Mindy Dalton of Marriage Ministries, will present "The Beauty of Marriage." The evening concludes with bingo and prizes. Everyone’s invited to the 69th Champion’s Ride Match on Saturday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m. (MT)—a premiere event with top ranked professional cowboys invited to ride the toughest saddle broncs in the region. The Champions Ride not only has a rich history of cowboys, but also as a major fundraiser for the organization, Home On The Range (HOTR). Cost is $20 for adults in advance or $25 at the gate and $13 for student tickets in advance or $15 at the gate. Plan on attending the 2025 Thirst Eucharistic Conference on Oct. 31-Nov 1 at the Bismarck Event Center for spiritual enrichment. The theme for Thirst 2025 is “Saints, Being a Pilgrim of Hope” in connection to 2025 being declared a jubilee year with the theme of “Pilgrims of Hope” by the late Pope Francis. The event features keynote speaker Bishop Austin Vetter, as well as entertainment by Jesse Manibusan and Brad Farmer. You’ll also hear the inspirational story of recovery and hope of car accident survivor, Fr. Dale Kinzler, a retired priest of the Fargo Diocese. There will be Mass, adoration, confession, children’s activities and vendors to browse as well. There’s no admission charge and all are welcome.
