Projected number of clerics on triannual basis Projected number of clerics in the Diocese of Bismarck on a triannual basis. These projections by the Offices of Vocations and the Permanent Diaconate reflect the expected numbers of active, ordained priests and deacons serving the diocese to the year 2026.
Currently the Diocese is served by three pastors and one parochial vicar who are Benedictine members of Assumption Abbey at Richardton.
We are also served by eight parochial administrators and two parochial vicars, who are priests from India.
It is projected that this pastoral leadership will be stable and available to our parishes in the foreseeable future.
Currently there are 53 deacons with active status serving in 59 parishes.
It is projected that the number of deacons actively serving will remain stable in the range of 50 to 60.
