Risk Management The director of this office is available to provide parishes and schools with assistance regarding the following: field trip information; use of parish facilities/special events coverage/additional insured coverage; parish and school on-site inspections and self-inspections and reports; fire safety issues; accepts reports of losses due to natural disasters; accepts reports of injury to persons on parish property; school safety surveys; provides follow-up information regarding the status of reported claims/payments, etc.; insuring other entities whose facilities are used by the parishes and schools; and construction certificates of liability. All parishes have been provided a Parish Risk Management Manual that contains information and forms approved by Catholic Mutual Group.

Special Events Coverage Parishes and schools are required to have coverage for special events that may not be considered a normal part of parish or school activity.
The cost for such coverage if minimal but essential for insurance protection if there is a claim related to the special event.
