The Office of Family Ministry provides information for marriage preparation seminars, Marriage Encounter, Sponsor Couple Training, Respect Life, Natural Family Planning, marriage enrichment, Building Family Strengths workshops, a monthly Single Parent Networker newsletter, and other opportunities available within the Diocese of Bismarck. It provides marriage enrichment days at the ND State Penitentiary for inmates and spouses. It is a resource for those needing counseling, food, clothing, shelter and other necessities. The Office scores the FOCCUS marriage preparation instrument administered to engaged couples for 29 parishes within the diocese.
The Office coordinates the annual Celebrate Church and provides material, speakers, and workshops for education of all age levels within parishes, and brings a family perspective to these and other church ministries.
